HarmonyEdu: Sustainable Linguistic Enrichment

The Stedelijke Humaniora recognizes the immense value of international exchanges for its students aged between 15-18. Our presented project is in line with our commitment to providing a comprehensive and globally oriented education, we seek to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility program with our new partners in Hungary and Turkey. The primary focus of this mobility program will be on fostering language proficiency, sustainable environment, improving digital skills and the promotion of European values among our students. Academic Rigor and Diversity: Ensuring a robust academic experience for our students during the exchange is of paramount importance. The 5-hr daily schedule will encompass a diverse range of subjects, offering students a comprehensive curriculum that spans various disciplines. This approach not only supports their intellectual growth but also promotes interdisciplinary learning, contributing to the development of well-rounded individuals capable of navigating the complexities of a globalized world. Language Proficiency: One of the key objectives of the proposed project is to enhance the English language skills of our students. Exposure to native speakers and immersion in authentic linguistic environments in Hungary and Turkey will significantly contribute to improving both spoken and written proficiency in the English language as commen ground of communication. This experience will not only benefit students in terms of academic achievement but also equip them with practical language skills crucial for personal and professional development in an increasingly interconnected world. Academic Rigor and Environmental Education: We believe that academic rigor is essential in shaping well-rounded individuals. Therefore, during the exchange, our students will engage in a diverse curriculum that includes subjects related to environmental science, conservation, and sustainable development. This interdisciplinary approach aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address the pressing environmental challenges of our time. European Values: Participation aligns seamlessly with our commitment to instilling European values in our students. By immersing themselves in the daily lives of their peers in Hungary and Turkey, our students will develop a profound understanding of shared European values such as democracy, human rights, and social inclusion. This experiential learning opportunity will go beyond theoretical knowledge, enabling students to embody and promote these values in their own lives and communities. Building Networks and Friendships: The Erasmus+ mobility provides a unique platform for students to build international networks and friendships. These connections will not only contribute to their personal growth but will also serve as valuable resources for future collaboration and cooperation. The bonds formed during this exchange will strengthen the sense of European identity among our students, fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation that transcends national borders. Preparation for Global Citizenship: In an era of increasing globalization, it is crucial for our students to develop a sense of global citizenship. This Erasmus+ mobility program to Hungary and Turkey will empower our students to navigate the complexities of a globalized world with confidence. Exposure to diverse cultures, languages, and perspectives will equip them with the skills and mindset needed to contribute positively to an interconnected and interdependent global community. Participating in the Erasmus+ mobility in Hungary and Turkey aligns seamlessly with the educational goals of Stedelijke Humaniora. The program will not only enhance language proficiency and cultural understanding but will also contribute significantly to the development of our students as responsible and well-rounded global citizens.
